Born on August 9, 1937, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, to Edgar and Bessie Frazier, Marc grew up on a small family farm where the values of hard work, perseverance, and dedication were planted early and rooted deep. He carried those values throughout his remarkable life.
Marc graduated from Okolona High School in 1955, and the very next day, he answered the call to serve, beginning a 20-year career in the United States Air Force. His military service took him around the globe, but his most important journey led him to Forbes Air Force Base in Topeka, Kansas—where he met the love of his life, Eunice Ullery. The two were married on August 1, 1958, and together built a beautiful life marked by deep love, devotion, and adventure.
Marc and Eunice raised three children—Shirley, Marcia, and Duane—and eventually made their home in Wichita, Kansas.
After retiring from the Air Force in 1975, Marc found his second calling as a professional truck driver. His love for the open road never faded, and over the next four decades, he logged more than 5 million miles behind the wheel—a testament to his dedication and his enduring sense of purpose.
Marc’s adventurous spirit extended well beyond the road. Thanks to Eunice introducing him to car racing in the 1950s, Marc became a lifelong fan. Together they traveled across the globe and across the country attending races, including more than 30 Daytona 500s and numerous Indianapolis 500s. He visited all 50 states, always eager for the next adventure and new experience.
Marc was known for his booming laugh, quick wit, and mischievous one-liners. He could light up a room and lift spirits with ease. He was a man of deep loyalty, strong friendships, and unwavering love for his family.
In his final days, Marc’s courage and contentment shone through as he comforted those around him with the simple, profound truth: “I’ve had a good life.”
Marc is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Eunice, three children, Shirley Simmons (Lester), Marcia Ginn (JR) and Duane (Sheri), eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Beth Knighton (Bob)—all of whom were sources of immense pride and joy.
He is preceded in death by his infant daughter, Wanda Jean, and his parents, Edgar and Bessie Frazier.
Marc was a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to so many. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strength that will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
He will be deeply missed—and always remembered.
