Margaret Anne McKenzie

McKenzie, Margaret “Peggy”, 88, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Jan. 12, 2017. Peggy was a longtime member and volunteer at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar Society and taught CCD Classes for over 40 yrs. She previously worked at Dandurand Drugs as the Hallmark Coordinator. She was a longtime member of the Silver Spurs Square Dancing Club, and a women’s Bridge Club. Preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John “J T” McKenzie; parents, Walter & Margaret (Gibbons) Burke. Survivors include her sons, Danny, Kevin, John (Julie), Don; daughters, Mary (Tony Sutton) McKenzie, Kathleen (Rick) Endsley, Rita (Toby Ward) McKenzie; grandchildren, Joseph, Amanda, Zach, Nick, Jake, Wesley, McKenzie, Emilee, Chris, Mary Margaret, Ben, Alexander, Brandy, Breeanna, Jaycie, Kylan, Sheila, Sean; great grandchildren, Garen, Lexi, Boston, Acea. Special thanks to the staff of Catholic Care Center who lovingly cared for our mother. Visitation 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at De Vorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary. Recitation of the Rosary 7 p.m. Monday, Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, both at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
