She was born December 25, 1933 in Lincoln, Kansas to Albert Meyer and Erna Webber.
Marilyn went on to marry Elmer Obermueller in Lincoln, Kansas, of that union they had 3 children, Roger, David and Karen.
She was a registered nurse at St Francis hospital in Wichita, Kansas and a longtime member at Bethany Lutheran. In retirement she enjoyed volunteering at the Bethesda resale store, working with the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, and bowling.
Marilyn is preceded by her husband of 60 years, Elmer Obermueller.
She is survived by sons, Roger Obermueller and David Obermueller; daughter, Karen Gales; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
A visitation for Marilyn will be held Wednesday, October 8, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209.
A funeral service will occur Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Bethany Lutheran Church, 1000 W 26th St S, Wichita, KS 67217, a graveside will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 W. Hwy 54, Wichita, KS, 67209, In the garden of Gospels.
