Marion was a man of many passions. His most important passion was being a loving and devoted husband, dad and grandpa; closely followed by the Kansas City Chiefs, John Wayne, Chevrolets, the US Military, playing cards, deviled eggs, anything with peanut butter, his wife’s cooking, his daily Dillons and McDonalds runs, and just spending time with his family.
Marion was drafted into the United States Army in 1958 and served through 1960 and was in the Army Reserves until 1964. Before he was called into service, he had begun employment at Boeing where he worked in various positions but was predominately a Storekeeper. He retired after 37 years of dedicated service.
Marion and Dorothy married in 1957 and their love story is as beautiful as they come. They married in Oklahoma surrounded by family and friends. They moved to Udall, Kansas before Marion’s Army assignment moved him to Tacoma, Washington until he was honorably discharged. They then moved back home to Kansas where they raised their three children.
Marion is survived by his wife of 66 amazing years, Dorothy Brown of the home; children, Lori Brown of Liberty, Missouri, Debbie (Gary) Ogden of Valley Center, Kansas and Michael (DJ) Brown of Brighton, Colorado; grandchildren, Nick Ogden of Wichita, Kansas, Jake Ogden of Park City, Kansas, Michala (Josh) Zimmerman of Liberty, Missouri, Addie (Jake) Marrant of Lawson, Missouri, and Jazmyn Brown, Jadyn Brown, and Jarett Brown of Brighton, Colorado; as well as many friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claud and Mary Brown.
