Marion Frank Melson

Melson, Marion F. Marion was born in Chase County, KS on June 10, 1921 on the family farm to George and Bessie Melson. He passed away on January 15, 2012. He graduated from Cedar Point High School, served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WW II and retired from Southwestern Bell after 33 years. Both Marion and his wife were long time members of College Hill United Methodist Church, Double Circle Class. He is survived by his wife Lela, of 69 years. Daughters: Marilyn (Roger) Fenton of Saguache, CO and Sheryl (David, deceased) Bagby of Wichita, and sister, Mildred Cox of Newton. Darren (Jennifer) Bagby, Grandson of Muscatine, IA with great grandson, Luke Bagby. Grandsons: Neil Fenton and Tom Bagby, both of Colorado Springs, CO and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to College Hill United Methodist Church or KU Medical School Department Research for Memory Loss and Associated Diseases.
