Martha Laverne (Rutherford) Fulco, age 90, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024. Martha was born October 21, 1933, in Miller County, Arkansas to Lollie M. Huber Rutherford and Dewey C Rutherford.
Martha "Meme" as most knew her by married the love of her life Sam Fulco on April 18, 1954 and remained so until his death in 1995. She spent most of her life as a housewife raising her 3 children. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed preparing family dinners. Everyone loved MeMe's Cooking. She later worked part-time in the jewelry departments at David's. Martha loved to gamble, whether going to the casinos or lottery scratch offs.
Martha "Meme" will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Martha is survived by her children Sam Fulco Jr., Deborah Keller, and Richard Fulco; grandchildren Michelle Wilkins (Steve), Melissa Fulco, Amanda Downs (Troy), Tiffany Fulco, and Ricky Fulco; great grandchildren Austin Conway, Kaylee Wilkins, Tayden Downs, Kamden Downs, and Penelope Fulco; great great grandchildren Ella Conway, and Madden Conway; siblings Linda Rutherford Matthews and Rodney Rutherford; sisters-in-law Camilla Doughty (Brian) and DiAnn Stafford (George); and many nieces and nephews.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband Sam E Fulco; mother Lollie M. Huber Rutherford; father Dewey C Rutherford; siblings Dewey Rutherford, Margie Rutherford, Jimmy Rutherford, Nell Rutherford Ebarb, Ray Rutherford, and Charles Rutherford.
A visitation for Martha will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E 13TH ST N, WICHITA, KS 67206. A Celebration of Life Service will occur Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Lakeview Funeral Home.
