

Mary Margaret Hannemann passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at the age of 92. She was born October 18, 1920, in Turck, Kansas to Thomas Dewey and Margaret Helen Skahan. She was the eldest of eight children.
Upon graduation from the Wichita Business College, Mary was employed by Santa Fe Railway where she met her husband, Archie R. Hannemann. She was an employee of both Macy’s and Dillards department stores where she enjoyed working as a sales associate.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Archie R. Hannemann, beloved son, Robert E. Hannemann, and dear brothers, Thomas, Clifford and Eugene Skahan. Mary cherished and will be greatly missed by her daughters, Patricia Hannemann, Melissa Dimeo, and Donna Lamb (Larry); seven grandchildren, Matthew DiMeo, Mia DiMeo, Melanie Mies, Jeremy Mies, Lindsey Mies, Julie Hannemann and Christopher Hannemann; sisters, Donna Loeb and Deana McGlew and brothers, James Skahan (Shanty) and Micheal Skahan (Fayrene); many cousins; nieces; nephews and friends.
A rosary service will be held on Wednesday, May 8, at 7:00 p.m. at DeVorss Flanagan¬-Hunt Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 9, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church where she was a long-time member.
