

Michael was born on December 11, 1973, in Berlin, Germany, to Dwight and Sandra Hansen. He graduated from Central High School in San Angelo, Texas, before relocating to Kansas, where he spent the remainder of his life.
Michael dedicated many years to serving others across various industries but found a passion for working as a cook in several Wichita restaurants.
He was a loving father, son, brother, and friend. Despite facing numerous health challenges, Michael maintained a positive spirit and was always eager to crack a joke. He enjoyed movies, music, and football season - Michael was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs as well.
Michael is survived by his mother, Sandra “Mimi” Hansen; his daughter, Kaeley Shae Hansen; his son, Izayah Michael Hansen; his brother, Brian Hansen and wife Kelli; his sister, Kim Levasseur; his nieces and nephews, Joshua Levasseur and wife Angela, Christy Toman and husband Ethan, Dylan, David, Skye, and Kevin Hansen; and close family friend, Cassie Rhodig and is preceded in death by his father, Dwight.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, February 15th, at 11:00 AM at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209.
In place of flowers, donations in Michael’s honor may be made to Resthaven Mortuary to assist with funeral expenses.
