Michael R. Riordan

Michael R. Riordan was born on July 29, 1952 in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Francis and Alice Riordan. He passed away suddenly on April 18, 2022 at Ascension Via Christi St. Teresa Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. Mike was known for his quick wit, infectious smile, and love of his family. He was passionate about cars, music, movies, and photography. He was very particular about his hair and was even known to rewash it if it didn't look perfect.

He had a diverse mix of occupations throughout his life. After his service in the Air Force, he became a professional ballroom dancer and teacher. This allowed him to travel the world for competitions. He had many years of working in sales, including cars, pre-need funeral arrangements, and for the last 20 years as a food broker.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Alice Riordan.

Survivors include: his wife of 20 years, Kathy Riordan; step children, Brett and wife, Jaime Laudermilk and Jenny and husband, Matt Cline; two grandsons, Nathan Laudermilk and Ivan Laudermilk; sister, Kay and husband, Bert Wiggins; niece, Erica and husband, Ryan Snyder; nephews, Zach and wife, Kelly Wiggins, Ben Wiggins and fiance, Geremy St. James; three great nieces, Harper Snyder, Zoey Wiggins, and Elowen Wiggins; and one great nephew, Tucker Snyder.

Come and Go Reception will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, Mary 13; Celebration of Life Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 14, both at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas.

Memorial donations may be made to Kansas Food Bank, 1919 East Douglas Avenue, Wichita, Kansas.
