Norma Lea (Applegate) Williams

Norma Lea (Applegate) Williams, age 69, of Kansas passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023. Norma was born January 30, 1954 in Emporia, Kansas to Floreine Fern Gilkison Purvis and Wayne Nelson Applegate.

Norma loved nature and being outdoors. Her favorite thing to do was cheer on her grandkids at their sporting events. She was a wonderful mother, Nana, sister and friend.

Norma is survived by her husband of 52 years, George Williams; daughter, Cindi Lawson (Nathan); son, Jason Williams (Sara); brothers, Jay Applegate (Debbie), Mark Applegate, Larry Applegate (Linda), Ronnie Applegate; sister, Carolyn Jo Ply; and grandchildren, Owen Lawson, Connor Lawson, Ellie Williams, Molly Williams and Collin Williams.

Norma was preceded in death by her father Wayne Nelson Applegate; mother Floreine Fern Gilkison Purvis and step-father Fred Purvis.

A memorial service for Norma will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Lakeview Funeral Home & Cemetery, 12100 E 13Th St N, Wichita, Kansas 67206.
