

Patricia Ann Lorenzen, 71, died in Wichita, Kansas on December 12, 2010 at the Wesley Medical Center. She was born March 29, 1939 in Ashland, KS to Rev. Randall and Mildred (Weikal) Rice. She married Ronald Lorenzen at the Bureau Township Community Church on October 21, 1961. She is survived by her husband, Ronald of Princeton, IL., 2 daughters, Cheryl (Steve) Eshelman of Lancaster, PA and Kim Lorenzen and friend Chris Cicak of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by her mother, Mildred Rice of Wichita, KS; sisters, Phillis (Dwight) Sholl of Sturgis, MI, Dr. Phillip (Ruth) Rice of Colorado Springs, CO., Lois (David) Steward of Overland Park, KS; 9 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Randall and her maternal and paternal grandparents. She was a 1957 graduate of Bureau Township High School at Princeton, IL, a 1961 graduate of Fort Wayne Indiana Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing. She worked in the nursing field for nearly 50 years, 30 of those years as an office nurse for Dr. J.L. Foresman of Princeton, Il. She was dedicated to her nursing profession and provided loving care to her patients through the many years. She was a church organist for over 40 years, retiring in 1998. She enjoyed traveling, reading, classical music, computer work and staying current with the latest advances in the medical field. She was president of the Home Owner’s Association in Mesa, AZ since 2003, where she and her husband spent the winter months. They started spending winters in AZ in 1998. A memorial service will be held at First Evangelical Free on Tuesday (Dec. 14) 2 p.m. with a funeral service later in the week in Princeton, IL.
