Bain, Richard Edward Sgt., 73, Vietnam veteran, of Wichita, KS passed away on Tues. Aug. 5th, 2014. Richard was born in St. Louis, MO on Feb. 20th, 1941 the son of Emmett and Caroline Bain. Richard and Debbie were united in marriage on Apr. 16th, 2011 in Wichita, KS. Together they celebrated 26 years of love. Richard served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a sergeant who received numerous honors including a Purple Heart. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather of one and friend to many. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Jean-Loretta Nunnelly. Survivors include his loving wife Debbie, sister, Betty (Glen) Smith, brother, Elwood Thomas, daughters, Melissa Johnson, Iesha Bain, granddaughter, Mila Wilson and many nieces and nephews.
