Richard was born in Wichita, KS, to Richard and Linda Clements (Haysville) on May 2, 1970. He attended school at Campus in Haysville, KS. He married the love of his life, Debbie Dean, on January 5, 1991. They had 3 wonderful children together and 7 grandchildren with twins on the way. He worked at Spirit Aerosystems for 17 years as a Manufacturing Engineer and prior to that Learjet for many more.
Richard loved the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, sports, and skiing were all passions of his. Anything to be around family and friends enjoying God’s gift of nature. He introduced the joy of fishing and hunting to countless family members over the years, instilling his love of nature and family to many generations. He was endearingly known as “Pa” to his grandchildren and lived up to, and exceeded the love and respect that name entails.
Ric’s love of life and family was evident at all times. His joy, humor, and energy were infectious. Any gathering, people were drawn to him. He was the life of the party, but enjoyed his solace and quiet time to reflect and recharge. He never objected to a midday nap.
Richard is preceded in death by: Richard Sr. (Father), Joe Dean (Father-in-law), Carol Dean (Mother-in-law), Curt Bugner (Brother-in-law), Joel Vanatta (“Brother”), Roberta Thompson (Grandmother), Frank Thompson (Grandfather) and several other grandparents, aunts and uncles.
