Richard was an avid sports fan where he enjoyed watching different sports, including the Kansas City Chiefs. His biggest joy was to spend time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, Dennis and Beatrice Goodsell; his brothers, Dennis Goodsell and Randall Goodsell; along with his grandson, Christopher Wade.
He is survived by: his loving wife of 25 years, Chiquita Goodsell; his children, April (Pat) Bittle-Schoonover, Travis (Lizann) Bittle, Heather (Corey) Rice, Ryan (Candy) Goodsell, and Alisha (Matt) Flatjord; his grandchildren, Avery Bittle-Schoonover, Brittney (Luis) Ceniceros, Serena (Jordan) Powell, Blake Brady, Marisa Gallardo, Nicole Gonzalez, Marleigh Rohr, Ricky Enos, Ava Goodsell, Mason Goodsell, Phoenix Skyles, Lee Skyles, Maddy Flatjord, Dominic Flatjord, and Arya Flatjord; his great-grandchildren, Vanessa Gonzalez, Olivia Gonzalez, Chelsea Gonzalez, Maverick Powell, Lenny Ceniceros, and Scottie Ceniceros; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Come & Go Viewing will be held from 4:00 PM ~ 7:00 PM on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
Graveside Service will be held 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Garden of Bruce Newton, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
