

Robert E. “Bob” Conner, 83, passed away January 10, 2011. Born April 24, 1927, the youngest child of the late Charles and Anna Conner. He graduated from East High School in 1945 and was drafted into the U.S. Army; he served in Germany from 1945 to 1947.
In 1947 Bob married Lola Bannon, they were married for 42 years until her death in 1989. He retired from General Electric Co. in 1987 after 38 years of service. Bob was blessed when he found love again and married Ruth Weingartner in 2000. He enjoyed golf, traveling, fishing.
Preceded in death by brothers, Johnny Conner, James Conner; sister, Theresa Irving; grandson, Ryan Polley; great granddaughter, Cheryl Carpenter.
Survived by wife, Ruth; children: Lynn Boley, Sue Peace (Curtis), Karen Stansbery, Janet Carroll (Chuck), Bob Conner (Rhonda), Cathy Eaves (Kenny), Jeannie Rothe (Sam), Lisa Polley (Neil); mother-in-law, Doris Sprecher; stepchildren: Michelle Fehr (Steve), Rev. Michon Weingartner, Tim Weingartner (Tina), Tony Weingartner (Alice); 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; 7 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.
Memorials with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and Christ the King Catholic Church. Rosary 6:30pm, Vigil 7 pm on Thurs, Jan. 13, visitation with the family following. Funeral Mass 10am Fri., Jan 14, all at Christ the King Church. Burial Resurrection Cemetery.
