Loretta and family, I’m not sure what to say in the face of such a difficult loss. Just want you to know that I care and I share in your sadness.

I met Ross in the early 90's through his brother in law. I did not know that I was being evaluated, critiqued and sized up. I passed !   How ?   I know how to properly shake a hand when meeting and being introduced. Ross was always friendly, happy, easy going guy.

Ross you will be missed by man !

We are truly blessed to have had both of you in our lives when we were young in high school and then in our early marriage.  Ross was such an inspiration in my coaching career.   We have thought of both of you many times in the past 50 years.  We are saddened your family is going through this tough time.  We pray for strength and guidance from our good Lord for you, Loretta, in the coming months.  Hugs

From our earliest Roosevelt grade school days(he was such a cute little boy!) to this day, about 70+ years later, Ross and Loretta have been friends.  I hardly knew one without the other.   We've experienced lots of life together, reunions, weddings, funerals.  I will miss Ross being part of my life as all of our class of '58 are a part of each others' lives.   And then we all have our part is Hoisington High School.  Loretta, I've only been a Wayne's widow 5+ months.  It's tough, but we will survive with the help of God.  Beth Lee Stoskopf Flohr

Ross was such a joy to work with and even more joy to have as a friend.   He was always kind and an amazing example of how to care for family, friends and associates.  Hold fast to all those loving memories.  Peace be with your family...

Loretta, Sydney & Jason,  We haven’t seen each other for a long while but no matter, this is such a loss for you and all of the kids.  I’m just thankful having a segment of time with Ross.  We did many Southwind projects together.  I’m going to remember Ross for his great smile, orneriness and a golf club in his hand.  He was a great family friend!  Thankful for him!

I have too many memories of Ross, Loreta to count. They love their kids, Syd and J, and were always trying to do the right thing. He was a true father figure to so many, me included. He was always one for a laugh and a game of golf, cards, baseball or whatever he could skin you up with.

The world is a bit darker than it was last Friday.....

So sorry we have lost Ross Thornbrugh.   He will be missed.  My thoughts and prayers are with Loretta and family.
