Sr. Edwina M. Pope, Asc

Sister Edwina M. Pope, Asc passed away on December 25, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on May 18, 1945, in Kansas City, MO, she was the daughter of Ralph Edwin Pope and Irene Maye (DeRome) Pope Steffan. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.

Sr. Edwina is survived by her nieces and nephews, as well as the Sisters of the ASC Community. She was a dedicated member of the religious community, having professed her first vows on September 14, 1980.

Her professional life included roles as a former Assistant Librarian at Newman University and as a former US Region Archivist. She held a Master of Science in Library & Information Science. Sr. Edwina was proud of her Native American heritage, being a member of the Miami Tribe.

A memorial fund has been established for the retirement of Sisters, ASC, at 1165 Southwest Blvd., Wichita, KS 67213.

Services for Sr. Edwina will be held at the Chapel of the Woman of the New Covenant, Adorers of the Blood of Christ, Wichita Center, located at 1165 Southwest Blvd. The schedule is as follows:

- Welcoming: Monday, December 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM

- Wake Service: Monday, December 29, 2025, at 7:00 PM

- Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 10:30 AM

Interment will take place at the Community Cemetery of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ in Wichita.
