Sr. M. Laurentia Koehler, ASC, age 89 entered eternal life on Sunday, December 29, 2024. Sr. Laurentia was born on March 21, 1935 in Windthorst, Kansas to her parents Lawrence and Anna Mary (Temaat) Koehler. She professed first vows July 1, 1954. Sr. Laurentia was a retired Elementary Educator and Principal throughout Kansas and Oklahoma; Associate Superintendent of Schools, Archdiocese of Oklahoma City; Administrator, Villa Maria, Mulvane; Pastoral Care Coordinator. She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters Dolores Gruenbacher Clarke and Alice Stejskal. Survived by sister Cleona (Glen) Oltermann of Lookeba, OK, brother Richard (Rita) Koehler of El Reno, OK; many nieces, nephews and sisters of the ASC Community.
A Welcoming and Wake for Sr. M. Laurentia will be held Friday, January 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Chapel of the Woman of the New Covenant, Adorers of the Blood of Christ, Wichita Center, 1165 Southwest Blvd. 1165 Southwest Blvd, Wichita, KS 67213, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 PM. Interment will take place in the Community Cemetery of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ, Wichita.
A memorial fund has been established for the retirement of Sisters, ASC, 1164 Southwest Blvd., Wichita, KS 67213.
