Staci Diane Satterfield

Staci Diane Satterfield 46, passed away on November 15, 2016, in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 46. Her parents are David and Gayle Humphrey. Staci lived in Irving, Texas, Paris, Texas, Webster, Texas, Manhattan, Kansas, Ft. Riley, Kansas, Junction City, Kansas, Cheney, Kansas, and Wichita, Kansas. Staci attended Southeast High School in Wichita and was trained as a dental assistant at Wichita Area Technical College. She achieved her associate’s degree at Butler Community College and continued attending taking online classes with a goal of obtaining her bachelor’s degree. Growing up, Staci was always the wild one. She would rather have fun at the risk of getting in trouble than be bored by following rules. She was sweet, ornery, boy crazy, and smart. She always chose the wildest music (Kiss!) and the smelliest chewing gum! At times she drove her parents and sister crazy, but they wouldn’t trade her for the world! As an adult, she wasn’t much different, though she was always a great daughter, hard worker, and a great mom. She was the coupon queen and always gave her dad a hard time if he paid full price for anything. She excelled in her work at Flight Safety, twice receiving an award only given to a few people company wide. She loved to go out with the girls, and to go to concerts, especially Garth Brooks. She was the ultimate helicopter mom. She absolutely loved her sons, Blake and Zane, to pieces and no mom was ever prouder than she was of their every little accomplishment. She also adored Blake’s fiancé, Courtney, and already considered her a daughter. Staci is survived by her two sons, Blake Satterfield and Zane Satterfield and their father, Audie Satterfield, of Wichita, father David Humphrey and wife Vickie of Midwest City, Oklahoma, sister Lara Tillman and husband Greg of Rogers, Arkansas, niece Anya Tillman, and nephews Ryan Tillman, Darren Tillman, Cameron Jackson, and Noah Tillman. Staci was preceded in death by her daughter, Samantha Jo, her mother, Gayle, and her grandparents, Ed and Rita Sapp. A Memorial service will be 1p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Resthaven Mortuary.
