

Steven Moreno, 78, of Wichita Kansas passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025. He was born to Jesus Celya Moreno and Erlinda Moreno (Flores) on October 6, 1946, Wichita, Kansas. Steven grew up in Valley Center and Wichita area. Throughout his life he lived in Peabody, Towanda, and El Dorado and finally settled back in Wichita, Kansas to be close to his children and grandchildren.
He graduated from North High School and attended Wichita Area Vocational Technical School to become an auto mechanic. He was an excellent front end alignment mechanic for 18+ years at various auto shops in Wichita, Kansas.
Steven loved classic cars, cooking, going for walks, reading books by Steven King, watching baseball and the Kansas City Chiefs and enjoying westerns and court TV shows. He had a knack for making jokes with everyone he encountered; no one was a stranger to him. He cherished moments spent with his family and loved watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren cause a ruckus during family get-togethers.
Steven is survived by his children; Paulyna (Kyssie) Webber (Jeffery), Ginger Moreno, Romano Moreno, Taylor Moreno; his grandchildren, Cecilya Webber (Meghan), Consuelo (Salyna) Hubbell (Jeffrey), Theresa Webber, Cassandra Moreno, Daniel Moreno, Vanessa Moreno, Liliana Moreno, Ace Moreno, Nikolai Moreno, Luca Moreno, Addilyn Moreno and Silas Moreno and his great grandchildren, Luna Barvais, Weylyn Barvais, Korra Stephenson, Mia Hubbell, Lena Hubbell and Jude Hubbell.
He is also survived by his siblings; Mike Moreno (Marcy), Bill Moreno (Trinea), Robert Moreno (Deborah), Olga Garcia, George Moreno (Tina), Linda Adams, Armando Moreno, Margaret Moreno, Lisa Hernandez (Paul) including many nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
Steven is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Erlinda Moreno and brothers Jesus Moreno, Mario Moreno and Ron Moreno.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 2:30pm, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 W. Kellogg, Wichita, Kansas, 67209. A gathering to honor Steven’s life will take place following the interment service.
