Teresa Bennett

Teresa G (Carmin) Bennett age 65 passed away January 18, 2026, at home surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born July 23,1960 to Everett and Shirley (Parks) Carmin.

Teresa lived her life with her heart on her sleeve, always thinking of others first. She worked as a waitress, housekeeping at the Pratt Regional Medical Center and Pratt Community College.

The job she adored the most was home health for the elderly and did that until her health forced her to retire.

Teresa was the first person to help those in need, which included all animals. Teresa was always willing to help those in need even if it meant she went without. She loved all animals and would feed any little stray that came to her yard including the raccoons and opossums stating they are all God’s creatures.

Teresa’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her kids, grandkids and family. She will be missed by all who know and love her.

Teresa is survived by her son Shawn (Darlene) Bennett, grandchildren Haley (David) Bennett, Corbin (Isabell) Bennett, Myka (Chad) Koehn, Dylan Coykendall, Blake (Alondra) Roberts, Tayler Dillon, Tyler Dillon, great grandchildren Cylas, Ariya, Blair, Luke, Elijah and Oliver. Brothers Larry Carmin, Mike (Misty) Carmin, sisters Linda Collins, Glenda (Mike) Kinsey, Patricia Dunsworth and Sonya Allen and many nieces and nephews. Her special companions Lily, RJ, Runt, Bug, Baby Girl and Little Miss.

Teresa is preceded in death by parents Everett and Shirley Carmin, son Joshua Bennett, daughter Angela (Bennett) Coykendall, brother Robert Carmin, brothers-in-law David Dunsworth and Robert Collins, niece Carrie (Kinsey) Nosser and nephew Bobby Collins.

As per Teresa’s wishes, cremation has taken place and memorial services will be planned for a later date.

Memorials may be left to her son Shawn or The Main Street Vet in Pratt, Kansas.
