Walter A. Melton, age 77, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022. Walter was born September 16, 1944 in Joplin, Missouri, the son of Ambrose and LillieBelle (Marshaw) Melton.

On May of 1976 he married Barbara McGinnis.

Preceded in death by his parents; son, Shawn Troy; sisters, Freda Harrison, Shirley Fritz, Allah Hadley, Cheerie Huffman, Marion Goodwin; brother, Bert Melton.

Survivors include: wife, Barbara Melton; children, Tyler Troy, Candi and husband, Shawn Doggett; grandchildren, Rachel Doggett, Laura and husband, Rhys Powell, Joshua Doggett, Caleb Doggett, Nathanael Doggett; sister, Judy and husband, Jack Ackerson.

Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 16 at Believers Southern Baptist Church, 13909 W. 21st Street, Wichita, Kansas 67235.
