Wally is preceded in death by his father Jim Payne.
He is survived by his mother Mary Payne of Wichita, KS; sister Dina Kelley of Bolivar, MO; and nephew Dalton (Katy) Kelley of Bolivar, MO. Wally will also be remembered by his aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
Wally retired from Cessna Aircraft in 2009 after over 30 years of service. He was a caring and giving man who was quick with a joke and enjoyed making everyone around him smile and laugh. He loved spending time with family fishing at Roaring River. Wally was a big Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR races.
He was also a Freemason and served in the clown unit as a Shriner. Wally was known as Klumze “O” Klown. When he retired, he also became a van driver for the Shriners and was very proud of transporting children and their families to the Shriner hospital in Saint Louis, MO. Wally most loved making children smile.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Resthaven Mortuary. A graveside service will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
