Wilfred "Willie" Dean Hultgren, 83, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 in Wichita, Kansas. Willie was born the son of George and Lillian Hultgren on July 27, 1940 in White City, Morris County, KS. Willie and Vivian Hultgren were united in marriage. Together they celebrated 55 years of marriage before her passing in 2020. Willie served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. He worked for over 40 years in the aircraft industry. He was an avid K-State, Chiefs, NASCAR and sports fan. He was a loyal servant of the Lord. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his wife; Vivian Hultgren, parents, siblings; Leo Hultgren, Edna Mae Joy, Erma Anderson, Doris Roberts, Eugene Hultgren.
He is survived by daughters, Traci (Dan) Ahlstrom, Christina (Daniel) Webster; grandchildren, Cameron and Isaac Ahlstrom, Tierra and Felicity Webster; as well as sister-in-law, Nellie Hultgren.
Celebration of Life service will be 1:30 p.m. on Saturday January 13, 2024, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 7901 W. 21st St. N., Wichita, KS 67205. Private burial will be held at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established in his name and loving memory to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
