

Zandren devoted 25 years of service as a CNA at St. Francis Hospital, offering steady, compassionate care and a strong work ethic that reflected her formal sense of duty and commitment to others.
Sweet, stubborn, wise, and a great mother, Zandren built a legacy rooted in love, perseverance, and quiet strength. She found joy in square dancing, country swing dance, and bowling, and she had a special tenderness for animals—loving dogs and birds, and especially horses.
Zandren was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Curtis Cowles Sr.; her parents, George Masquiler and Anna Mae Sutton; her sons, Patrick Michael Cowles and John Masquiler; her brothers, Robert Masquiler and John Masquiler; her sisters, Laura Arabella Masquiler and Bertha Paulina Masquiler.
She is survived by her son, Clarence Ray Cowles; her sister-in-law, Maxine Masquiler; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, great grandchild and many extended family.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209, on March 11, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held at Resthaven Mortuary on March 12, 2026, at 11:00 am.
