It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy E. Weeks, 94, in The Villages, Florida on May 19, 2023 after a brief illness. Dorothy was born in Waterbury, Connecticut and lived the majority of her life in Thomaston, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Plesent Williams and Beatrice (Bright) Williams. Dorothy married the love of her life, Richard R. Weeks, and they were married 66 years before his passing in 2013. Together they raised three sons, and she was predeceased by her sons, Donald Weeks and Rick Weeks. She is survived by her son, Thomas Weeks (Ransey Hill), her daughter-in-law, Diane (Urban) Weeks, and a beloved Havanese, Sydney.
Dorothy enjoyed many years of camping in Vermont with her family during the summer months and playing bingo as her winter hobby. She relocated to The Villages in 2017 to live with Rick and Diane and often remarked how thoughtful all the neighbors are as they welcomed her into a new neighborhood.
A celebration of life will be planned in the future.
