Edward August Votypka Jr

Edward leaves behind his wife of 59 years Kathleen (Lyons) Votypka; two children: Laura Votypka-Comiskey and her wife Robbin Sullivan and David Votypka and his wife Connie Votypka. Along with five grandchildren and two-step grandchildren; Joe Comiskey (Sarah), Brian Comiskey (Rachel), Annie Comiskey (Maya), Madelyn Votypka (Mike), Donovan Votypka, Matthew Lemerise, and Nichole Lemerise (Sean). He also leaves behind a special bond with Terrance Comiskey (ex-husband to Laura). In addition, Edward leaves behind one older sister and three younger brothers with many nieces and nephews as well as many friends throughout his lifetime. He was predeceased by his parents Edward and Dorothy (Koryta) Votypka.

Formerly of Bainbridge, Ohio a resident of The Villages over the past 15 years. A former employee of Stouffer’s Frozen Foods (Solon, Ohio) for 39 years. An avid golfer who enjoyed spending time with his family, playing poker with his friends, and living life thru Jimmy Buffett songs.

Edward’s funeral will be held on Tuesday August 29, 2023, at 12:30pm with a Mass at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church 5323 E. County Rd 462 Wildwood, FL. Calling hours will be held on Monday August 28, 2023, from 4:00pm – 6:00pm at Dignity Memorial Life Celebration Center 7134 Powell Rd, Wildwood, FL. Immediately after funeral mass, family will also receive family and friends at Dignity Memorial Life Celebration Center to celebrate Edward’s life to share stories and memories during a Jimmy Buffett themed reception.
