Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He then went on to have a long and successful career as a teacher and then working in information technology. He loved to play golf or spend his day cheering on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
He is predeceased by his brothers, Gary and Danny.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 21 years, Bonnie Curatilo Carter; children, Jeff Carter and wife, Jennifer and Jason Carter and wife, Christine; grandchildren, Jackson, Jonathan, Amelia and Owen as well as numerous extended family members and close friends.
A Celebration of Joseph's Life will be held at a later date in New Jersey.
