

Rogelio B. Sunico, age 84, of Oxford, passed away on May 11, 2026. Born on May 4, 1942, in Manila, Philippines, Rogelio lived a life defined by hard work, intelligence, devotion to family, and quiet strength.
A proud and determined man, Rogelio pursued his education at Arellano University, where he studied Electronic Engineering and earned his associate degree. His knowledge and skill led him through a career marked by dedication and integrity. He went on to work in North Carolina with Hancor after leaving the military. He then returned to New Jersey to work for the United States Postal Service in Kearny, New Jersey. Throughout his life, Rogelio carried himself with the resilience and discipline of a man who believed in providing for and protecting those he loved.
He also served over 20 years in the United States Armed Forces being in both the Army, where he was awarded the Purple Heart during Vietnam, and in the Navy.
Rogelio was a man of many interests and talents. He had a passion for electronics and enjoyed watching classic movies, often finding joy in the simple moments spent doing the things he loved. His steady presence, wisdom, and hardworking spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Above all else, Rogelio loved his family deeply. He is lovingly survived by his two daughters and two sons, who will forever cherish his guidance, strength, and unwavering love. He is also survived by his sisters, Erlinda S. Bansil, Teresita S. Davidson, and Josefina S. Salazar, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Rogelio will be remembered as a strong and dependable man whose life was built on perseverance, sacrifice, and love for his family. His legacy will continue through the lives he touched and the memories shared by those fortunate enough to know him.
