Christopher Columbus Davis Jr.

Christopher Columbus Davis Jr. (89) of Willard passed Sunday, July 31, 2016 at the Ohio Veterans Home. He was born December 24, 1926 in Willard to the late Christopher C. and Ethel (Johnson) Davis Sr. Mr. Davis was a graduate of Willard High School, Class of 1945 and a veteran of WWII US Marines. He retired from General Motors in Ontario, was a life member of the Willard American Legion, Post 0514 and actively was involved and supported the Democratic Party. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

Mr. Davis is survived by his daughter: Alice Marie Smith of Saginaw, MI, 5 grandchildren: Mitchell (Sheree) Holden of Toledo, Rose Marie Davis of Lansing, MI, Stephanie White of Saginaw, MI, Perry White of Saginaw, MI, and Brenda White of Smyrna, GA, along with several great and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Johnnie Mae (Price) Davis, daughter: Beatrice Kay Davis, and 3 grandchildren: Steve Davis, Reginald Shields and Quinta White.

Friends may call Friday, August 5, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Lindsey-Kocher Funeral Service, 323 Myrtle Ave, Willard, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Bishop Zachary Williamson. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Willard.
