Stella M Carpenter

Stella M. (Sparkman) Carpenter (82) of Willard, died Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at her home. She was born July 30, 1933 in Garrett, KY to the late Kendall and Linda (Conley) Sparkman. Stella was a member of the former Eagle’s Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, her plants, played shuffle board many years ago in the league in town and talking on her CB with her handle “Flamingo Star”.

Mrs. Carpenter is survived by her 2 sons: Robert Carpenter Jr, and Kevin Carpenter, both of Willard, daughter in law: Dorothy Carpenter of Willard, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 5 great great step grandchildren, 4 great great great step grandchildren and 4 brother-in-laws: Don Sexton, Jim, Jerry, and Paul Carpenter, all of Willard. She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Carpenter Sr. in 1984, 2 sons: Larry and Gary Carpenter, daughter: Sharon Sue Carpenter, 4 sisters: Gladys Hansford, Ollie Prater, Ada Prater, and Louise Sexton and brother: Elmer Sparkman.

Friends may call Friday, July 29, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Lindsey-Kocher Funeral Service, 323 Myrtle Ave, Willard, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice through the funeral home.
