

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex H. Sr., and Grace Watson.
Sandy worked for Congoleum Floor Covering and retired after many years in New Jersey. He was a member of St. Olaf Catholic Church. His grandchildren were his life. He enjoyed volunteering for Angels of Mercy and the Food Pantry at St. Olaf. Sandy loved old cars, gambling at casinos, country music, and 50s music. He was a first generation Scottish American. He graduated from Kearny High School in Kearny, New Jersey and attended Bergen Community College for two years. He also loved crossword puzzles and time with family and friends. His wit was razor sharp.
Sandy is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marianne Gilmour; his daughters, Lynette Crouch and her husband, Thomas, Leanne Brooks and Laura Clement and her husband, Chris; his grandchildren, Logan Brooks, Eadlyn Crouch, Eilidh Crouch, Ronan Clement and Remi Clement; his sister, Betty Hylands and her husband, Bob; nieces, Elysa Wolansky and Erica Godard; special cousin, Jimmy Boyle; and many more extended family.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 104 Norge Ln, Williamsburg, VA, followed by mass at 12 Noon.
