Anne, a lifelong resident of Williamsburg, VA, graduated from Bruton High School and studied drama at Virginia Commonwealth University. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Anne's career in Hospitality spanned over several years, exposing her to people from all over the world and from all walks of life. Without judgement, Anne befriended, uplifted, encouraged and forged forever friendships with an enormity of people. She possessed a strong online presence. Her online politics and beliefs were loud and proud, often stirring the foreboding bi-partisan pot. Anne's several robust opinions refused to be swayed. She was never discourteous and remained gallant, even friendly with anyone in disagreement over her passions. She never failed to reap the benefits of touching people's lives with her optimism and cheerfulness. Online and face-to-face, Anne's caring, generous and sparkling personality pleased virtually anyone she associated with.
Anne lived her life without misery and constantly maintained a sunny disposition with her daily motto, "Life Is Good." Adversities and the tribulations of life never kept Anne from enjoying her friends and social occasions. Often donned in her signature color red, Anne enjoyed evenings out or a day on the beach with many of her close friends, especially her besties, Kelly and Jackie. Anne's laughter and cantor were always heard above the sounds of a night on the town, a crowd-filled beach or from across a people-packed room.
Anne was happiest when in the company of her large immediate family. She adored traveling to see her loved ones. Logistics and locations only excited her anticipation of a family gathering. Holidays and birthdays were among her favorite occasions. Anne is survived by her fraternal twins; son, Adam Marcus (Vera) Chalkley and daughter, Elizabeth Mitchell Chalkley, both of Mechanicsville, VA. Adam and Elizabeth remain enamored of their mother's unwavering support and advocacy for them from birth to adulthood. Anne's children were of her utmost importance. They were her reason for having a full, well-rounded, fun, and honorable life. Anne became a proud "Nana" to three grandsons; Lev James Chalkley, Roman Julius Chalkley and Julian Adam Chalkley. Anne's grandchildren fortified her benevolence, love and admiration for her family. Anne also leaves behind her three sisters; Barbara Faye Chalkley, Suzanne Lynn Morgan, both of Williamsburg, VA and Jennifer Leigh Walker, of Hiram, GA. Anne is painfully missed by her family and a host of friends spanning the globe.
