Arlene "Bunny" Ellen Haglund

Arlene Ellen “Bunny” Haglund, 73, went home to be with her Heavenly Savior on Monday, January 11, 2021, in Williamsburg, VA. She is preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Barrett Lamb; stepfather, Roy D. Lamb; father, Robert Haglund; and stepbrother, Roy D. Lamb III. She graduated from Dorchester High School in the Class of 1965. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Gordon College and later received her Master’s degree from Bridgewater State College. A teacher with the Boston public school system for 35 years, Bunny was also a member of Wellspring United Methodist Church, the Williamsburg Spinners and Weaving Guild, The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, Alpha Iota Chapter-Massachusetts and volunteer for the National Park Service. She was also a lifelong member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved to sing and was a former member of the Williamsburg Choral Guild and sang in the choir and with the music ministry “Gratitude.” Survivors include her daughter, Christine Lucero; son-in-law, Michael Steen; granddaughter, Zola; stepsister, Mary Ann Lamb; and Kathleen Bennett, whom Bunny loved as a daughter. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date in the spring.
