He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ruth Cowan.
Bruce was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and had served as General Manager for Thomasville Furniture Industries. He was also a member of Williamsburg Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Cowan; son, Reed Johnson (Julye); daughters, Linda Wade (Don), Laurie Kiley (Joe), and Jennifer LaDow; and grandchildren, Ashley LaDow, Jessica Fowler, Jordan Kiley, Mark Ramthun, Abby Johnson, Laura Ramthun, Jacob Johnson, James LaDow, Brian Wade, and Brandon Wade.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in Bruce’s honor may be made to the Gold Star Family Home Program via www.tunnel2towers.org.
