Carl served his country for many years as a proud Marine. After his active service with the military, he worked for the Beretta Gun Factory in Indian Head, MD and as self-employed subcontractor.
In his spare time, he enjoyed weight lifting and working on model planes.
Carl is survived by his ex-wife, Diana Robbins; son, Daniel Burns; daughter, Sandra Wharton (David); grandchildren, Jennifer Wilkes, Julia Burns, and Kaylee Stanley; sister, Christine Burns Vonk; brother-in-law, Mike Vonk; and brother, Richard Burns.
