Carol was a member of the Two Rivers Country Club and the P.E.O., Chapter BJ, of Williamsburg, VA. She was also a member of the Episcopal Church. In her free time she enjoyed knitting, beadwork, and playing bridge. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed golf and tennis.
Carol is survived by her sons, Rev. James Ezell (Lynn Ezell) and Robert Ezell (Maria Ezell); her daughters, Kathy Ezell Andrews (Laurence Andrews) and Patricia Ezell Hamele; her ten grandchildren, Katharine, Elizabeth, Jonathon, Carolyn, Andrew, Brian, Kevin, Jeffrey, Adam, and Ryan; and her ten great-grandchildren, Jack, Ben, Andrew, Ryan, Roger, Rory, Maddie, Eloise, Vance, and Romy. She is also survived by her brother, Edwin Ryan Akers (Dorothy).
