She is survived by her daughters Martha Adams and Christine (Ron) Newman, her brother David Mohrhardt and her sister Ann Jordan. She is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Carolyn enjoyed traveling, antiquing and crafts. She was a member of St. Matthews Anglican Church and a volunteer at Bruton Parish Gift shop.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014 from 5 to 7 pm with a service to be held on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at 4pm at Nelsen Funeral Home and Crematory. Interment will follow on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 12 noon at Quantico National Cemetery.
