

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sanders G Williams and Mildred Harrison Williams; and her infant son, Robbie Sandidge.
Carolyn was employed at NASA Langley for 5 years as a Computer Technician.
Music was an integral part of Carolyn’s life. She was a faithful servant of the Lord using her musical talents for Him for many years. She was a member of West Hampton Baptist Church in Hampton, VA and served as their organist for 41 years, followed by membership at Walnut Hills Baptist Church in Williamsburg, VA serving as their organist for 21 years. She was an accompanist for numerous weddings and funerals throughout the Peninsula. Carolyn participated in the Church choir and played the hand bells. Carolyn was also a dedicated music teacher and children’s choir director for many years.
In addition to her dedication to music, she loved to travel with her family and friends. Visiting all 50 US states and 13 countries, her favorites were Austria and the western portion of the US.
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Bobby Sandidge; her daughter, Vickie Reafsnider and husband Bruce; her son, Rusty Sandidge and wife Christine; granddaughter April Webb and husband Shane; and two great granddaughters, Ava and Rylie Webb. She is also survived by her brother Gary Williams and wife Jane; and their children, Jeff, Steve, and Lynn as well as their spouses and children.
A celebration of life will be held at Walnut Hills Baptist Church on Wednesday June 4th at 12:00pm. A time for visitation with the family will be held preceding the service beginning at 10:30am. Burial will follow at the Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News, VA.
