Charles L. Jenkins

Charles L. Jenkins, 72, died on Wednesday, August 26, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Metcalf Jenkins; his brother Larry W. Jenkins and his wife Dana; his three children, Kerri Jenkins Rhodes and her husband, Taylor, Brian Jenkins and his wife, Michelle and Traci Jenkins Fairheart and her husband, Rusty; his six incredible grandchildren, Taylor Jr, Abby, Blair, Jack, Emma Rose, and Bailey. Charlie was an alumni of the University of Richmond and retired from Newport News Shipbuilding in 2005 after 37 years. He was a volunteer and a captain of Bennett’s Creek Rescue Squad, was active in youth baseball, and loved playing golf with his family and friends.

A visitation will take place on Sunday, August 30 from 11:30 to 12:30 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, VA, followed by a memorial service at 1pm.
