Christine Brokenberry Davis, 95, of Williamsburg, VA, was called to rest on May 8, 2019. She was born January 28, 1924 in James City County. Her husband, Eddie Davis, preceded her in death.
As a homemaker, Christine loved and was dedicated to spending time with her family. She also enjoyed playing dominos.
Left to cherish her memory are her only living survivors, her nephew Adolphus Richards (Dale E.); two great-nieces Constance (Donald) and Kendra; one great-nephew, Adolphus Lamont Richards; three great-great nephews; two great-great nieces; and two great-great-great nephews. While living in Detroit, MI for over 70 years, Christine also raised Jason Brown and Joyce Butler.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 18 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Roland A. Cuffee. Elder Rodney Jones will be offering the Prayer of Comfort and readings from the Old and New Testament. Christine’s nephews, Adolphus L. Richards, Keandre Richards, Donald Rhodes, Marquis Rhodes, and Emmanuel Rhodes will serve as pallbearers. Her nieces, Constance Rhodes and Kendra Richards will serve as floral bearers. Burial will follow at Williamsburg Memorial Park.
The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff of Dominion Village for your loving care and support. May the Lord continue to bless each and every one of you, and keep you in His care.
