

Christopher Columbus Harris Jr, 94, of Williamsburg, VA, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on April 2, 2017. Christopher was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky on December 25, 1922 to Christopher Columbus Harris Sr. and Courtney Mae Harris.
He was a Naval Air Corp Veteran of World War II and served in the Pacific Theater. During his 33-year career with Texaco, he lived in Rhode Island and New York. He was a member of the Nathaniel Green Masonic Lodge. Christopher was also a member of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Williamsburg, Virginia and an avid walker with the Sentara Walking Club.
Christopher was a loving husband to Muriel (Connie) Harris, his wife of 71 years, father to Lynn Bonneau (Mike) and Lauren McQuain (Kent). He was known as Papa, “The Greatest”, to his 5 grandchildren, Kerri, Billy, Becky, Caitlin, and Carley; and 5 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 1333 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg, Virginia 23185. Christopher will be buried with military honors at Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, Rhode Island, on a date to be decided.
