

After serving his country in the U.S. Army, Don was an Assistant Trainer for the New York Yankees from 1962-1969 before being appointed Head Trainer for the Philadelphia Phillies.
During these tenures, he saw two World Championships. He was also named National League All-Star Trainer in 1976 and was Associate Trainer for the U.S. Pro Indoor Tennis Championships for over 20 years.
Don was a very active member in many organizations and ministries within St. Bede Roman Catholic Church. He was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus, Faith in Action and Young at Heart Club.
Don enjoyed golfing and restoring golf clubs as well as calligraphy. He rejoiced in the activities and tales of travel of dear family and friends, and time with his wife, children, and grandchildren brought him countless joy.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Seger (née Hedrick); son, Thomas and wife Stacy (née Moore) Seger; daughter, Theresa (née Seger) and Ted Vasiliadis; grandchildren, Nikolas and Anna Vasiliadis and Ben and Dean Seger; as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 10-11AM at St. Bede Roman Catholic Church, 3686 Ironbound Rd., Williamsburg with the service to immediately follow at 11AM. Interment will take place at Williamsburg Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions in Don’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.
