She is survived by her son, Tracy A. Murphy (Annie Sines); daughter, Josephine Jones (Richard Ross); grandchildren, Cheryl Thacker, Emily Murphy, Patricia Perry, LaSean Murphy, LaVander Murphy, Mia Murphy, Shakira Robinson, and Tatiana Murphy; and great-grandchildren, Leilani Murphy Bryant and Lyric Murphy.
Prior to her retirement, Emily worked for both Williamsburg Community Hospital and Busch Gardens. She was proud to be a high school graduate and a member of Grove Christian Outreach. She loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, crossword puzzles, and game shows.
Services will take place at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg on Tuesday, February 1 at noon.
