Glenn E. Oliver, 60, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018, in his home. He was born in Newport News, Virginia on June 21, 1957 to the late Fred T. Oliver and Lois M. Oliver. He was a 1975 graduate of Warwick High School and has been a resident of Williamsburg for the last 38 years.
Glenn was looking forward to his retirement from the Newport News Shipyard where he was employed for 43 years. He was an animal lover and advocate and a past volunteer with the Deer Run Horse Show Club at Newport News Park. Glenn also loved music and baking for others.
He is survived by his sisters, Frances Hughes and her husband, Steve, Janice Ward and her husband, Roger and Nancy Jones and her husband, Guy; brothers, Steve Oliver and David Oliver and his wife, Cindy.
A celebration of life will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, VA on Wednesday, April 18 from 7-8pm.
