

Harry is survived by his wife, Jane; son, H. Nicholas Burton (Hollye); daughters, Shannon Burton Dutriaux (Matthieu), Suki Burton Hovermale (Jake), and step-daughter, Katherine Medlin Wilson (Brad); grandchildren, Grey Joseph Burton, Lucienne Quinn Burton, Ella Marie Hovermale, Ethan Dutriaux, Lucas Dutriaux, Claire Wilson and Caitlin Wilson; brother, Mike Burton (Gail); and sister, Susie Burton Croatt.
After receiving his BA from the University of Wisconsin, he was employed by AT&T in an executive position. He was a member of St. Bede’s Catholic Church. He loved classical music and was the Executive Director of the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra. He was a Master Gardener and Artistic Director of An Occasion for the Arts. He was an avid bridge player, an art collector, traveled the world with his wife, Jane and enjoyed puzzles of all kinds, especially crossword puzzles.
Over the last five years, Harry took a great interest in genealogy and had a recent publication of a book regarding the family of his wife, Jane Garland Norton Burton.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date along Lake Michigan. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Harry’s memory may be made to the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra, 212 N. Henry St., #2, Williamsburg, VA 23185 (www.williamsburgsymphony.org)
