He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel G. McReynolds; son, James O. McReynolds; mother, Maggie Lucille Kennedy; father, James Ford McReynolds; brother, William N. McReynolds; and sister, Virginia Mullins.
Jimmie was the owner of Caney Creek Builders. A devoted member of Faith Baptist Church, he was pleased to have the honor of building both the church and activities building.
Never someone who met a stranger, Jimmie loved spending time with both his family and people in general. Quite the storyteller, he could remember details from long ago. He was also extremely generous, always willing to buy you a meal as he proudly told you all about his children, grandchildren, wife, and family growing up.
Jimmie was an excellent driver who could drive just about anything. He loved traveling across the country in his mobile home, especially camping trips to Mt. Rogers with his wife and extended family.
Jimmie is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Lynne McReynolds; grandchildren, Rebecca Grace McReynolds, James Rodney McReynolds, Christie Marie Jackson, and Melissa Faye Clark; great-grandchildren, Bonnie Jackson, Harold Jackson, and James Clark; sisters, Margaret Sulfridge and Doris Miller; and daughter-in-law, Pam McReynolds who also played a vital role in his care.
