Jeanne Magdalene Trostel Ferguson

Jeanne Trostel Ferguson, 88, of Williamsburg, died on December 28, 2015. Jeanne was born in Pennsylvania and retired from the United States Government, as a Secretary for the Department of Agriculture. She was a member of Walnut Hills Baptist church, and enjoyed playing bridge, gardening and cooking, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Robert J. Ferguson. She is survived by her son, Steve Ferguson of Orange, VA; her daughter, Lisa Tyler and her husband, Terry Tyler, Jr. of Williamsburg, VA; grandchildren, Courtney Harris and her husband, Brad and Chris Tyler. The family will receive friends on January 2, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, followed by a service at 2:30 pm. Interment will be at a later date in Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
