Born to Theodore and Eleanor Pavlak on July 22, 1922 in North Dakota, Joyce was a long time pianist and teacher who attended the Jamestown College in North Dakota.
She was a member of the PEO, Music Teachers Association and Bridge Club.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Peterson.
Survivors include her sons, Daniel Peterson, Thomas (Kathy) Peterson, and Paul (Joan) Peterson; granddaughters Sarah, Emily, Lexie, Heidi and Kirstin; grandsons Andrew, Michael, Brian, Ben and Joshua and 8 great-grandchildren.
The service will be Thursday, March 17th at 4:00pm in the Woodhaven Hall at Williamsburg Landing, 5500 Williamsburg Landing, Williamsburg, VA 23185. Interment will be held at Quantico National Cemetery on Friday, March 18th.
