Lucille Phillips Lebold

Lucille P. Lebold, 82, a life-long resident of the Peninsula, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2024. The daughter of the late John and Hilda Phillips. Lucille graduated from Newport News High School and Westhampton College of the University of Richmond. She later obtained a master's degree from the College of William and Mary. Lucille was a Newport News Public Schools math teacher for 30 years. She taught at Warwick and Menchville before teaching at Denbigh High School for 22 years. She is survived by Al, her husband of 51 years.

A memorial service with a reception to follow will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 2 pm in the Williamsburg Landing APAA Auditorium, 5700 Williamsburg Landing Drive, Williamsburg, VA 23185. To honor the memory of Lucille, in lieu of flowers, consider contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, Williamsburg Branch, 358 McLaws Circle, Williamsburg, VA 23185; or Trinity Lutheran Church, 6812 River Road, Newport News, VA 23607; or a favorite charity.
